BEAN BASICS FOR BOLD AWAKENING

Bold Awakening is crafted with intention.
To enjoy it at its best, keep these tips in mind:

• DEGASSING (RELEASE OF CO2): You can brew this 3-4 days after roast day. Much of the CO2 is released during roasting, and the best flavors shine closer to roast date.
• STORAGE: Air and light ruin freshness, because of this, we suggest using a vacuum-sealed container or tightly roll the bag. Store in a cool, dark place.
• REFRIGERATOR:  Not Recommended, because beans absorb odors and moisture, dulling flavor.
• FREEZER: Not recommended, because freezers can separate oils in body-heavy coffees, thinning the mouthfeel.

• AS ESPRESSO: Not crafted for straight espresso, and we don’t recommend it as a solo shot, but this blend surprises with its ability to cut through milk with power and grace. Its spicy, dark chocolate-toned pungency delivers a bold first impression, while milk softens the edges, revealing a smooth, resonant finish with lingering spice. Ideal for lattes and cappuccinos where structure meets creamy indulgence.
• AS COLD BREW: This blend is not recommended for cold brew unless you are creating something to be used with cream or milk.
• BEYOND THE CUP: With its spicy, chocolatey, and bittersweet complexity, Bold Awakening is a standout choice for heavier cocktails and dessert recipes, especially those that thrive on pungency and depth. Its robust character complements ingredients like dark spirits, baking spices, and rich chocolate. This makes it ideal for reductions, syrups, and infusions that demand intensity.
